It felt good to just hold her as they came down off their high, to feel her skin smooth against his, her heartbeat as it gradually slowed. For a long while the only sound in the room was that of their breathing and Clint thought he could stay like this, still sheathed in her warmth, her fingers soothing his skin. Of course they couldn’t stay forever.
Smiling at her words he slowly lifted his head to meet her eyes. Along with the travel grime he was now covered in sweat, so he probably needed a shower more than ever. “How about a bath instead?” he replied, only half joking.
