For a long moment he didn’t move, just letting her adjust to him, letting himself enjoy the feeling of her muscles tight around him. Nothing else ever mattered when they were like this; not the past, not the future, not the world around them. There was only the present, only now, and only them, their bodies, their breaths, their heartbeats.
He met her gaze when she tilted her head back and he thought he could get lost in her eyes, so dark and expressive. Bringing one hand to her face he brushed her hair back behind her ear before cupping her cheek, his thumb brushing softly over her skin. “Tasha...” he murmured, otherwise unmoving.
